i made a reservation online for 5:30pm because no later seatings were available, but the restaurant was pretty empty til 7:00pm. i hate talking to people even on the phone, but i suggest you call the restaurant for reservations instead of doing it online if you dont see the time you want.
EGG IN A JAR
duck egg, hen of the woods, pomme puree, crisp skin
one of the most popular dish at west bridge and i can see why. i especially appreciate the contrast between the crisp skin and the soft and creamy potato puree and the duck egg adds more depth and richness to the entire dish.
west bridge is a pretty popular restaurant in boston and i can see why. a lot of the dishes we had were fried and there is a pattern of ‘nuts being a component of a dish’. nuts really add flavors and nothing tastes bad when (deep) fried. some of the non fried dishes were gamey. i do appreciate the creativity of the use of ingredients, however, im not a fan with too much fried food and nothing we had was too memorable for the taste buds. the service was OUTSTANDING and super friendly and i would probably come back for drinks and light meals just because of the excellent service.
