the bff finally graduated and moved back in town. we went to check out fairsted kitchen, a relatively new restaurant by Andrew Foster and Steve Bowman in Washington Square, last wednesday night.
drinks are a MUST at Fairsted Kitchen!!!! their cocktails are really really bomb.
top: Antigua Plaza – Rye, Cocchi Americano, Mezcal, Benedictine, Bitters
if they have mezcal, i just have to order it
bottom: Genever Know – Cocchi Americano, Genever, Grapefruit, Peychaud Bitters
celeriac & potato tart – sea urchin – shiso
i love uni, but the star of this dish was the potato tart. the crust had the perfect texture and most importantly it was still WARM when it was served which made a HUGE difference. almost very therapeutic.
top: green zephyr – Vodka, Cucumber, Lime, Dry Vermouth, Kummel
bottom: Up South – Peach, Gin, Lemon, Soda
i was pretty impressed with their drinks. really well made using fresh ingredients and everything tasted just right.
food was excellent and all very well executed. drinks were superb. service was extremely warm and friendly. ambiance was lovely, relaxing, and cozy. beautiful beautiful plates and silverware; i couldnt stop taking pix of them. def one of the best all around dining experiences ive had in boston. the bff and i were just drinking, eating, talking, laughing for hours and really enjoyed ourselves. i secretly wish they dont become too popular too soon.
